Cattlianthe Ratsima Spot – mericlone (4.5” pot near blooming size)

This new mericlone is a great fusion of the spotted, fragrant Cattleya aclandiae and several other species that lend heavy substance and the opportunity for twice per year blooms, which will come in clusters as the plants mature. Each flower has segments of a warm bronze hue peppered liberally with dark purple spots, while the wide spreading lip is vivid magenta purple offset by contrasting stark white sidelobes. Due to the influence of Cattleya aclandiae the plants do ramble a bit, so a shallow broad pot or basket filled with large open medium will suit them best as they mature. All in all, this orchid has a unique character that will add pizazz to your collection. The plants we are offering have been moved into 4.5” square pots with large bark and should reach blooming size within the year if not sooner.
