It produces comparatively large flowers up to twice per year on compact plants with beautiful, neat and clean foliage. The sepals and petals are orchid lavender, but the petals are overlaid and brushed with a deeper shade while the ruffled lip is even deeper orchid purple with a contrasting white column and yellow throat. There are 22 different species in the family tree of this beauty which means it should be adaptable to a rage of conditions, but like all cattleya types thrive in bright but diffused light, regular soaking with drying in between and light, regular fertilization.
