Grammatocymbidium Pakkret Carnival ‘Apricot’ (2.5” pot mericlone)

This cross is great for people who live in hot summer climates like Florida, the Gulf Coast and the Deep South as it grows and blooms well even in steamy Bangkok Thailand where the cross was originated by Pakkret Floriculture. We imported this one as tiny plants in flask in spring of 2023 and they are already bursting out of 2.5” pots and ready for larger pots soon. Flowering will occur from late spring to early fall with arching spikes of fairly large apricot yellow flowers overlaid with a deeper pattern and a colorful lip that looks uncannily like a snake’s head with tongue extended. These plants will likely be fairly large at maturity but can be easily grown outside in the warmer months and in a bright inside location in winter. Give the plants a deeper pot with limited “elbow” room as they grow larger for faster flowering.
