Cym. Tapioca Tundra x dayanum album (2.5” pot young seedling)

New! Here is a yet another fantastic seedling cross we imported as flasks from Pakkret Floriculture in Bangkok Thailand. We expect these plants to mature to moderately large plants with elegant narrow grassy foliage and an abundance of arching spikes of flowers in summer to fall and again in winter to spring. The blooms will range from light pink to yellow and blends of the two, with deeper colors in the lip and will have some fragrance. The big attraction of this cross is its ability to do well in hot summer climates as well as more cool northern ones. Cym. Tapioca Tundra combines the famous Cym. Golden Elf with the elegant Cym. insigne, while that white form of Cym. dayanum is known for its masses of pendant bloom in late summer. Like all Cymbidiums this orchid appreciates bright diffused light and will grow well under LED lights. Apply plenty of water especially during the summer months, but even in winter don’t let the plants totally dry out. Deeper pots that still maintain tight “shoulders” for the plant are ideal as these grow older. While still smallish, these grow quickly and can flower withing two years. Get one while the price is low.
