Laeliocatanthe Newberry Lava Burst 'Marble Branch' AM/AOS
Product Description
This was our first plant to receive an award from the American Orchid Society! The cross originated at our friends Carter and Holmes Orchids in Newberry South Carolina and combines Lc. Rojo with Schomburgkia undulata. This particular clone displays a lacquered burgundy red color that is both saturated and glistening, excellent flower spacing, and contrasting amethyst ovaries. It has fairly compact growth for a Schomburgkia hybrid. When awarded, it carried two tall spikes with a total of 29 flowers. Since then, it has grown into a plant with 6 leads, and the long lasting spring show becomes more spectacular each year.
